2025 Lenten Recap

Remembering everything [in] between Lent and Spring

ree

Enjoy some notes and photos from this past season at Harbor!

Lent 2025

ree

This Lent, Harbor worked through Everything [in] Between from A Sanctified Art. This series explored the full spectrum of polarizing ideas, discovering that most were two sides of the same coin: "shouting & silence," "grief & hope," "rest & growth." We know all of us took something from the pulpit into our public lives.

Ash Wednesday

Our sanctuary stayed opened for those to come at will to explore the season's prayer stations, receive prayer and the imposition of ashes.

Palm Sunday

Harbor heard a sermon from community member David Jaimes for the first time and we all hope it isn't the last!

Maundy Thursday

Many of us enjoyed a dramatized Maundy Thursday service filled with meditative music, props and monologues. Thank you to David Jaimes and Rachel Judy for lending their voices and talents to bring this service to life.

Easter

This year Indigo Cullumber and Minister of Sacred Arts Lauren Graham were baptized. The Easter egg hunt was a success!

About the Series

Guide developed by Rev. Lisle Gwynn Garrity with input from the SA creative team

There are many heroes of the faith, people we admire and wish to be. However, there are even more ordinary people of faith—those doing what they can with what they have to make a difference. We’ve selected 16 bold stories of those often overlooked in our biblical narratives. Using visual art and prompts for reflection, we hope to dig deep into the worlds of these characters, entering their stories with curiosity and openness to what they might teach us.
