REV. sadie cullumber
Senior pastor
Pastor Sadie leads Harbor’s staff and community in a variety of ways including mentorship, pastoral care, and building community connections.

Pastor Sadie accepted a call to Harbor Christian Church in August of 2017. She was born and raised in San Diego and spent the first part of her career as an educational professional. She taught high school English for many years and also spent several years as an academic counselor. In 2012, Sadie decided to begin seminary at Claremont School of Theology and she graduated with a Master of Divinity in 2015. After graduating, she spent two years pastoring in San Diego before moving to Orange County. She now lives in Costa Mesa with her husband, their two daughters, four cats, and a Golden Retriever. Sadie loves animals!

REV. RYAN Cullumber

Pastor Ryan serves as Associate Pastor, responsible for pastoral care and directing our Living Coast summer program.

Pastor Ryan was born and raised on the East Coast. He grew up outside of Baltimore with his parents, brother, and sister. Ryan attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated in 1997. His first career consisted of financial planning work for various financial institutions. Feeling unsatisfied with this work, Ryan pursued a career change that brought him to Claremont School of Theology. He entered seminary in 2019 after deciding it was time to change his career focus away from acquiring wealth and toward community building and connection. In 2023, after graduating from seminary Ryan was hired as Harbor’s Associate Pastor. Ryan currently leads Harbor's ocean stewardship ministry called Blue Theology. In this role, he hosts groups of youth and young adults from across the country in ocean experiences that inspire them to care for the earth. Ryan lives with his wife, Sadie, and their two daughters in Costa Mesa along with their many animals. Ryan enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and gardening in his free time.

Maks assists our Children & Youth Ministries, primarily during Sunday worship.

Maks Miner first began working with the children and youth at Harbor in 2022. He was born and raised in Utah and moved to California after high school, where he studied Illustration and Fine Arts at the Laguna College of Art and Design. He loves working in the children’s sanctuary at Harbor, where the worship is full of creativity and connection. In his free time he enjoys painting and taking his dog to the beach.

Macy Whitesell
Associate Music Director
Macy directs our Music Ministry, leading and serving in a variety of roles including planning, voice, accompaniment, and care of the music community.

Macy Whitesell is a Southern California musician. She started her musical journey with solo piano lessons, and quickly learned the joys of being in an ensemble, singing, and trying any instrument she could get her hands on. She attended Cal State Fullerton and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education in 2019. Her studies there emphasized techniques in choral pedagogy, and she followed them up with a Single-Subject Credential in 2020.
Macy is a certified music teacher in California and teaches private vocal and piano lessons in addition to her Harbor work. Through teaching, piano recitals, choirs, fife and drum concerts, and church events, she has followed her passion for live performance. At Harbor, she enjoys the strong community and the opportunity to make meaningful music with others.

SETON FOGEL
Music Support
Seton is one of Harbor's vocalists. He also supports the music ministry through serving as accompanist.

Seton Fogel is native to Newport Beach. Music has been an integral part of his life, beginning to play the piano at 5 years old and studying classical voice at 11 years old. Seton attended Corona Del Mar High School, where he joined the choir, becoming intertwined with the music community at the school. His choir teacher introduced him to Harbor in 2018, where he acted as a student intern in the choir and over time, his grew into the church accompanist for the Praise Band. He graduated high school in 2020 and began attending the University of California, Irvine, where he continued to study music as well as International Studies. In 2022, Seton spent a year abroad in Bordeaux, France to study French, and went on international choir tours in Ireland and Portugal with the UC Irvine Choir. He finished his studies in 2024 and is in the process of becoming a French teacher.

Justin handles the video, audio and IT areas of the church, supporting in music on guitar.

Eric Whitesell

Eric works as part of our tech team to run AV for both our in-person community and our zoom community on Sunday mornings. Eric also supports our community with graphic design and social media.
