WE FOLLOW JESUS
Like Jesus, we value the study and interpretation of scripture. Through our deep and communal study of scripture, we have come to know Jesus as a teacher and guide who centered the marginalized of society and invited all to the table of love.
WE WELCOME ALL
Like Jesus, we value all people including groups that have traditionally been excluded from full fellowship within the church. At Harbor, we not only welcome all, but we insist on diverse leadership, including member of the LGBTQ+ community, people of color, and women. We are also an intergenerational church where you will find a friend from every decade.
WE WORSHIP DIFFERENTLY
Like Jesus, we value authentic interaction over polished spectacle. We have a casual Sunday gathering with music, teaching, and community discussion. We believe that the message of Jesus was one we are all called speak about and share. Our unique worship gatherings give opportuities for our memebers to practice talking openly about their developing faith.
WE EMBRACE EACH OTHER AS WE ARE, WITHOUT JUDGMENT
Like Jesus, we are open-hearted and accepting. We meet people where they are, in the messy middle of life. We are progressive but not political. When you visit us in person or on zoom, you will feel like you have been invited into someone's open and welcoming home.
WE CARE ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY
Like Jesus, we value relationships and connecctedness between the members of our church, and take great pride in caring for each individual in our congregation. We are small but strong in communal care.
WE LOVE AND RESPECT OUR CHILDREN AND YOUTH
Like Jesus, we believe that children are to be centered in community and we have much to learn from them. Our unique children's program gives children space to wonder about the sacred without offering them dogmatic rules. We welcome our youth into full participation in our worship gatherings and invite them to share openly and ask questions, knowing they will be met with respect and care.
WE LOVE AND PROTECT THE EARTH
Like Jesus, we value the Earth and consider nature one of our greatest teachers. To echo the love Jesus modeled for the Earth, we have created a national ministry called Living Coast Ministry which teaches young people the relationship between ecology and spirituality.
WE DO THE GOOD THAT IS OURS TO DO
Like Jesus, we value doing good work rather than just talking about it. Our members actively engage in feeding the hungry, standing up for justice, protecting the vulnerable, and doing the good that is our to do, right here in our own community.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
As you're considering a visit to Harbor Christian Church, you may have a few questions. Here are a few common questions and responses.
When are your services?
We gather for worship each Sunday at 10am-12pm. If you would prefer to join us virtually, you can connect through Zoom from our homepage. Our gatherings are designed to be welcoming, meaningful, and engaging, whether you join us in person or virtually.
What should I wear?
At Harbor, we invite you to come as you are. Most people dress casually and comfortably, others love to dress up on Sundays. We love the wide range of styles, and we look forward to learning about yours. Our focus is on creating a welcoming and authentic environment where everyone feels comfortable being themselves.
Is there childcare?
Harbor loves children! We begin our worship with our whole community together in our sanctuary. Early in our worship service, we have a moment for our children where they and their caretakers are invited forward for a short message. After this, we invite children ages 3 and up to join our Children's Minister, Maks and one of our two pastors (Sadie or Ryan) in our Children's Sanctuary.
In the Children's Sanctuary, children ages 3 and up will be guided through a Bible story using beautiful handmade story pieces. They will also have creative prayer time, spiritual work time, feast time, and more. Each Sunday is an experience of the sacred where our children learn to be in direct relationship with the Creator.
If you are a parent or caretaker of a child under the age of 2, we have a Care Corner inside or our sanctuary so that you can easily care for your child while being connected to the worship space and experience. Our Care Corner has a changing table, bouncer, toys, diapers, and more for you to easily and comfortably care for your child. Parents and caretakers are invited to use this space as needed. If you find yourself in need of something, please let us know and we will make sure to provide you with your need the next time you visit us.
Where do I park?
Parking is available on-site at Harbor Christian Church. We have both a front parking lot and a back parking lot. You are welcome to park in either lot. Both are easy to access. We also have easy and plentiful parking in the streets surrounding the church.
How do I connect online?

Once you're on the homepage, scroll down to OUR MEDIA and you can watch our most recent message by clicking play. Is Harbor an accessible campus?
Yes! Harbor is an accessible campus. We have several accessible parking spaces very close to a wide and flat concrete pathway that leads directly to our sanctuary and four fully accessible bathrooms.
