Read about our expanding Children & Youth Ministry
It has been so incredible to see the growing number of families joining Harbor. We have children and youth of all ages and we finally had some good problems in our hands! We heard a need from parents looking for a space to be with other parents, and we also heard that there is a need to have that same time be intentional for the multiple ages of Harbor children.
So, in October we started Family Group. This is a gathering that happens twice a month from 12-2pm. During these gatherings we have age appropriate activities and learning opportunities, including for our parents. Elementary age group meets together with Maks and a volunteer. Junior high and high school meet with Pastor Janette and a volunteer. Parents meet with Pastors Sadie and Ryan. These dates offer more focused learning time for all ages that can be connected by a shared theme. We are currently reading Braiding Sweetgrass. See below for a picture of us planting poppies, parsnips, and garlic (Donated by Caroline Kaufman!) in our Children's Garden.
On the other weeks of the month, we have a less formal gathering. This may be in people’s homes, or another fun outing such as watching a movie, play or just going out for pizza! This time is for high school youth only. Different Harbor families will rotate hosting this relaxed time for fun and fellowship.Â

Grandparent Chair!
We received two very special gifts of rocking chairs! One is in our Nursery (The Emma Chair) and the other is in our Children's Sanctuary (The J&J chair) graciously donated by dear friends of Pastor Janette. We are using the special gifts as a new way to create intergenerational ministry!
The Children's sanctuary rocking chair is now the very special Grandparent chair! Folks 65+ can come in and be a special guest in our Sunday service to be with the kiddos and read them a story! Pat Ramirez was the first Grandparent to join us!
